I have a blown engine on my 99 yukon. I have a 95 5.7 non vortec engine. Are these the same setup? Can they be swapped out?

You could swap an older TBI engine, but you would be losing the Vortec heads, thus losing some efficiency and power.

I would just get a remanufactured replacement engine. Wouldn't cost you that much really in the long run if you were able to swap it yourself.

Swap the top end and cam out off your 99 into the 95 block. It should be fully setup to run the roller stuff ...
