Hello everyone, I am a new '08 Yukon Denali owner and I was washing it over the weekend and noticed that it had a Gibson Cat back exhaust already installed from the previous owner.

I like the sound of it as it is not to loud for a everyday driver for me and the family. The question is, is there any other exhaust that would increase power? I dont necessarily want a "LOUDER" exhaust.

and how does the Gibson exhaust rank with other aftermarket exhaust?

thanks in advance

Exhaust systems are mainly for sound. Its a misconception. You do gain power but not a whole lot. Mainly you just move the power band.

Gibson is one of the better ones. Stick with it.

Like Lee said, you aren't going to see any power increases by going to another exhaust. I ran the Gibson cat-back on my Tahoe for several years, and it had a nice, mellow sound. I only switched it out because I was looking for something a little more aggressive.

I have a Gibson cat back on my Challenger. Best upgrade I opted for my car. it sounds great! I would stick with it and get a CAI with the money saved!
