So my front driver seat is pretty bad and passenger side is a little worn. Picked up a set from a wrecked 04 escalade along with a few other things (for sale thread) and noticed that one of the plugs aren't the same. My question is how can I get 04 Escalade seats to work in my 02 Denali. My plug has 2 orange, 1 black and 1 blue/black wire. Escalade seat has about 20 wires. Any help would be great.

It'd be easier to just swap the cusions/leather on it.

The memory seat modules are totally different and I believe these also control the seats. There is no real plug and play way to do it. Unless someone else knows any better, that is all I can offer you.

Thanks for your input. I guess that'll be my last resort if I can't get them to work although I would love to figure out the wiring and make it work. Please someone help.

I really don't think there is anything you can do. The wiring is completely different. The heated seats are set up separately (cushion & backrest) vs your Denali and so are the memory seats. The electronics are just not compatible. It'd be better to just have a shop that does auto interiors replace the leather for you. Plus, the Escalade leather doesn't match at all.

I have 04 Denali seats in my 2001 Suburban. They are NOT plug and play. Keith is exactly right about the memory function and seat heaters. I did a shit ton of research trying to wire them up and I just gave up on that part. But the main power wires on the 04 seats are the thick orange and the thick black wires. Connect those to the thick orange and black in your harness. Then you will at least have full movement and power lumbar controls. But as far as the memory and heaters, you can either remove that from your current seats and install it in the new seats, or just leave it alone like I did. My truck didn't have heated seats to begin with, so I wasnt even too worried about it.

Thank you soo much Scott. That's what I'll end up doing. I know I'll be hearing my wife complain in the cold months. Oh well. Thanks again I'll update hopefully next week with pics of the seats and something else I have for my baby.

i can confirm all of the above. the 03+ seats are part of the gm controlbus system or whatever its called. the heat and memory functions wont work in an 02 or older unless you literally change out almost the entire electrical system (dont bother!!). you can power up the seats to use the power controls, but unless you have power heated seats now and can swap electronics in the newer seats to the old stuff, all you can get is power.

i have a set of 06 secalade seats in my garage that were origionally destined to go into my 02 untill i did all the legwork and realized i was ass out unless i gutted both sets and swapped electronics. needless to say the 06 seats are still intact....and for sale haha!
