How does the 2nd row space compare between a tahoe and suburban? I have a 2007 escalade and have found with my son in his car seat there isn't much room left for the front passenger. Would I get more 2nd row space with an upgrade to an ESV?

Had a 12 Yukon (mine) and 12 Yukon XL (wife) and both had identical second row legroom. Recently traded the 12 Yukon swb for a 16 Escalade ESV (wife, I took over the 12 XL above) and our kid says the older Yukon has more second row leg room. Head and hip seem about the same. And overall the XL and ESV are similar dimensions, so the difference must be spacing of seats on the interior.

Our kid is 11 and 5'1". She says the ESV is comfy but in the XL she could cross her legs and in the ESV she can't. When I drive I have longer legs and like seat all the way back in both trucks. Hope this helps.
