Switching out factory running boards

I just purchased some new running boards and before I remove the factory ones I wanted to see if there are any secrets I should know about before getting started. I tried searching this topic but could not find much. Is the removing process pretty straight forward.

straight forward... a few brackets on each board with 2 bolts in each bracket.
