Ive been looking to switch to leds and have found some from Vleds and Superbrightleds I think I'm going to go with. One thing I keep seeing on the sites is a warning about "Canbus" . What exactly is it and how do I know if I have it??

You don't need to worry about resistors for the interior lights. They will not throw a code. Exterior lights are linked to the on board diagnostics and will throw a code in the event that the cars computer senses a drop in voltage or lack of feedback from the circuit. The canbus system does not trigger a code because it allows the computer to see the same voltage from an led bulb as it does from a halogen.

My plan is to do the interior lights, the DRLs, back-up lights, license plate lights, and maybe the fog lights in leds. The rest will remain stock type bulbs.

Can you upgrade the brake lights? If I do, what else will I have to do?

I think when guys are doing the tail lights they replace the whole housing. Something like G4s or G5s Anzo's and such. Not too sure about just replacing tail light bulbs with Leds but I'm sure it could be done.
