I was driving my truck, and this dash light just flashed on. After I turned off the ignition, it stayed off. I think this is traction control indicator, right? I wasn't doing a burnout, or anything crazy. 101 degrees outside.
T/C dash light just came on. WTH!

Was it a one time thing or does it happen every time you take off when you`re stopped? If it`s all the time its probably a wheel speed sensor. If one is bad it reads a different mph than the others and the truck thinks that a wheel is losing traction and it activates the traction control.

It's never come on before. I'm monitoring it when I drive. Maybe this is related to the sound that I've been recently hearing. It sounds like plastic slightly hitting my engine fan or the plastic in the wheel well hitting the wheel at times, or maybe the blower fan. It can happen when I turn or go straight. I'm not sure if it's RPM related.
I was under my truck looking at the engine compartment last night. Belts are good, nothing dangling. The sound is rare, and it just started after I changed my radiator/cooling hoses and cleaned my throttle body.

OK, I'm stupid. I must have bumped the traction control button on my dash. Kick me! BUT... the other thing I mentioned about the sound of something rubbing against itself in the engine compartment still exists. My rear A/C just stopped working. It could be a failing compressor, expansion valve or orifice tube. I'm going to post a new thread for this issue.
