I'm trying to figure out how to adjust the cruise control cable located on the throttle bracket for a 1997 Chevy Tahoe. I removed it during an intake manifold replacement and now it sags (doesn't return or have tension). When I depress the gas pedal, the cruise control clip that attaches to the throttle spring falls off as there is no tension to return it. Any help would be appreciated.

Solved!
I started messing with the plastic clip part that attaches to the cable and then I re-inserted it into the metal knob and I heard a click. That was the problem! Perhaps messing with the clip triggered something but its now good. Before that, I must have tried to push the plastic clip onto the knob 30 times without success.
