Hey everyone,

I'm new and need some serious help! I just bought a 2013 Tahoe Z71 4x4 and it's awesome.. minus one problem. It has a chirping/rattling noise that seems to be coming from the passenger side/middle dash. I can't find the source ANYWHERE and it's driving me crazy. It seems to happen more when it's cold out, and definitely is influenced by rougher road conditions. Anyone have a clue what this is or experience the same??
Please help!

Same thing on my z71 '09 - was actually a bracket under the steering wheel - sounded like it was on the passenger side. Dealer was familiar with it and fixed it under warranty.

No ideas but my wife's '11 has a very random rattle in the center A/C duct. Almost like a M&M fell in it. Now the passenger side dash has a random rattle that is from behind the air bag. Sucks!

Thanks for the help! I was hoping to not take it to the dealer and lose it for a day. Anyone have another suggestion that I can do myself?

Tahoe13,

Hello, I understand that you are experiencing an issue with your vehicle and are looking for suggestions on how to resolve this issue without going to the dealership. I cannot give you any technical advice but if you find that you cannot resolve this issue yourself, I am happy to assist. Please private message me if I can be of any assistance.

Best regards,

Funny as I have the same issue, but it isn't my dash. It is the front lower fake skid plate. It seems where it meets with the bumper inner, the screws must be rusty. I attempted to take if off and replace connectors, but it was way more involved than I wanted to get into that day. Some PB blaster and spray silicon seemed to help, for now....
