2008 Tahoe Z71. I can find information everywhere on the door actuators and recalibrating the system (actuators). I've replaced the driver side actuator and recalibrated because I had a single temp on the driver side regardless of setting. Only the heat on the passenger side was controllable.

But now what I've noticed is a slight (5 degrees?) temp difference between the driver and passenger side regardless if using dual or not. As an example, the heat on the passenger side dash vents will almost burn your hand, on the driver's side, it's hot, but not burning (I haven't put a thermometer in yet, but can).

There is an air duct sensor in the driver's side floor duct (near the actuator) and I find some diagrams that indicate there are possibly 4 of these. I would imagine these sensors provide feedback to the controls but for the life of me I can't find a duct and sensor diagram for this specific vehicle and no where can I find how these actually work or how they provide feedback to the climate control system.

My instinct tells me I should replace one of these sensors, but I don't know where they all are, how to get at them (if you can w/o pulling the dash), or how they actually work with the system.

Can a GM tech answer this question?

Thanks...
