Hey Guys,

I'm in the process of updating a few exterior modifications on my Tahoe, but before I spend the cash, I was hoping you guys who have done some or all of these mods will be able to confirm parts and compatibility for me. I didn't get a great price, but I want to do the mods, but before laying out $1,200 I would like to know if these will fit and or any major modifications. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2009 Tahoe LT2

I would like to do the following modifications on my Tahoe:

1. Escalade tail light modification
2. Escalade Roof rack modification
3. Escalade 3rd brake light with spoiler
4. Hitch closeout

1. Escalade Tail light Modification
A. Two 5 to 4 trailer harness converter (Hopkins # 48845).
B. Four 6 Ohm 50w Power resistor (Superbright LED’s #RL-650).
C. One Lamp Part# 25895482
D. One Lamp Part# 25895483
E. Two harnesses Part# 25862711 (Don't want to cut mine)

2. Escalade Roof Rack Modification (Don't ever use so don't need cross rails)
A. One Rail Kit Part# 25996380
B. One Rail Kit Part# 25996381
C. Four End Caps (Plates) Part# 15916756

3. Escalade 3rd brake light with spoiler
A. One 3rd Brake Lamp - Part# 25779085
B. One 3rd Brake Lamp Spoiler (Applique) - Part# 25779075
C. Two bolts for spoiler Part# 11561972

4. Trailer Hitch Close Out - Part# 19172866

Please let me know if I missed anything or if any of these parts won't fit my 2009 Tahoe. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I think everything you have listed will fit and work, given the tail lights because you'll need to convert them. But I think the trailer hitch closeout (if you're buying an Escalade one) won't fit without an Escalade/Denali rear bumper cover, unless you buy a Tahoe one.

The 3rd brake light and roof racks will work just fine with no modifications needed.

Post some pics when you're done!!

I only did the tail lights and it sounds like you are good to go there. If you think you may ever install HID reverse bulbs as well it would be easier to knock that mod out at the same time :imo:... :Handshake:

Thanks Guys.

The closeout is actually the closeout for the Tahoe based on Gmaccessoriesstore.com .

I was contemplating the HID Reverse bulbs; however, I was thinking that it takes a few seconds for the ballasts to light up and the bulbs didn't quite fit right and need to be siliconed into place. I'm not sold that the lenses won't get water that way.

I'm actually going to do all the mods at once. I have all the chrome ABS plastic pieces, tvs, radio, amps, subs, neon from my last vehicle. I've just been really busy and haven't had the time.

I'm just worried about spending the funds and the parts are not correct and/or won't fit my truck and I'm out all the funds. Thanks for taking the time to check it out for me.

You could do the LED reverse lights. I have them, and they're not any brighter but they come in instantly and, with LED tails, looks REALLY neat. Especially with the pure white color rather than the stock yellow.

All of those parts will fit your truck. I personally have done the roof rack and 3rd brake light and it all fits and works with no modifications needed. The Escalade tail lights work and fit fine after you wire them correctly, and the hitch close-out will fit.

You're good to go!

...

My reverse HID's were digital and would be at 100% brightness almost instantly. If you'd like to see them in action check out this vid just after 1:02. I too skeptical about the silicone use, but was very impressed with how well they sealed air tight and securely. Again, good luck either way man

Thanks Guys. I'm going to order the parts at the end of the week. I just wanted a little reassurance before I ordered the parts.

Make sure you're using those part numbers to get your stuff through a discount online place like gmpartsdirect.com and not the stealership
