I found some factory tahoe ltz power steps for a yahoe. I want to fit them on a Suburban/yukon Xl.

anyone know if this would work and what i would need wiring wise for them to operate when the door opens?

They won't be long enough for your doors. The Tahoe and Suburban steps are different sizes. It would work, I don't know what you would splice them into...maybe the dome lights if you use those.

no way if you have a NNBs and tie it into the dome lights it be all out of wack. They dont come on during the day cause they are tied into the auto/twlight system so they wont work during the day. The only real solution would be a aftermarket

However, I don't know how the running boards would react to the "theater dimming" of those lights. So either way it wouldn't work...but what could you splice it into??

Steps on the hoe or kon are shorter than that of a burb or xl. Will not work...

I asked the dealer once if this could be done factory-style, meaning installing the buttons and everything because I found a set for about $400 once, and I had some insurance money...but they said it would be too big of a job. So splicing them in or going with aftermarket ones are the way to go.

Plus where is the button for these boards on an LTZ/Denali? Our Escalade has them, and the button is by the power gas pedal button, but the dash layout is so different than Tahoe/Yukon.

well Ive seen the install procedure for beestop power runnign boards. They have you tie into the signal wires for each door.
