Tahoe Z71 shit list

I thought this would be best posted here as it could fit in several sub forums.


I will be posting as parts come in and I start the process.

Here is the to do list

Fans (formerly HPM Torrent fans we no longer produce these)
Corsa Sport Exhaust
Volant intake
Tune (by me using HPT)
Tru Cool trans cooler with Time2kill brackets
Superior Shift Kit
aluminum forward acummulatior piston
aluminum 1-2 accumulator piston
Corvette servo
Catchcans.com black catch can



I also have a few small apperance things I'm going to be doing

Tint front windows
Black billet bowtie
Remove and paint the top bumper cap, all fender flares, and end caps on the Z71 rack


I will also be doing some major paint correction, glazing, sealing and waxing.

Should be fun

I will post some pics as I go. Sorry there will not be any pics of the transmission internal mods as I did those last weekend as well as an entire fluid servie on the entire truck.

My own tune meaning I'm tuning the truck with HPT

HPT= HP tuners a very well known tuning software.

kinda a short little build... The real focus is on my 32 pick up I really need to get back working on.

Sorry I didnt take many progress pictures as I was doing this all myself and taking pics was the last thing on my mind.

Here is the tru-cool 4739 and Time2kill brackets before paint

Then after some time out at "hot rods by george" I came back and installed the electric fans. I have about 3 hours in the shroud shearing, bending , and cutting the fan holes. Damn thing fits like a glove. And frees up some room!

Debaged the entire truck and added one of the NNBS Z71 emblems on the gate


Also got tired of looking at the crappy pioneer back up camera plate bracket and made one that relocated it.




Next weekend the fender flares and top bumper cap are coming off to be painted. I also plan on getting the rotary out and spending about 16 hours on paint correction.

Catch can just mounts on to the alternator bracket? Also did you already have a trans cooler and just upgrade? I was curious whether you could add one if you didn't have one equipped.

Looking good. A catch can is defiantly on my list of future mods. Electric fans too.

yes you can either mount it there or over on the front of the passenger head which is where I mount them on the cars.

Yes all of the Tahoe Z71 trucks had a transmission cooler from the factory. I had to cut one line with the time2kill brackets.
