Well,
My wife took the tahoe in to get the oil changed since i am in houston for the next few weeks. She also needed them to look at the rear bumper as the paint bubbled and cracked and to have them look at the door moldings as the paint on the top of them looked just like it was only over spray. Also the grille didn't look just right. Rattle in the driver side rear door and the plastic around the latch for the rear glass looked stressed

Ended up not getting the oil change as the oil life is still at 33% so they are doing that next week when they take it back in for a few days. They will be repainting the bumper, removing the door moldings. They have ordered a new grill in case they break the current one fixing it, new rear inside panel for the hatch, fixing the door.

Also they are going to paint the back up sensors that are black but supposed to be the same color of the vehicle. I also noticed that the part that the 3rd brake light is in is also black. Every other Tahoe that I have saw on the road is body color. Is this correct or is it a package specific thing?

They think that the park sensors were not painted because it is a special paint color for the Tahoe being Victory Red.

I hope everything goes well with the fixes

Yeah, all those things that weren't painted red including the sensors and spoiler is due to the Victory Red package. I guess it was supposed to make it look sportier or something.

She said the dealer is going to paint the sensor under warranty. So that will be good. I'm going to have her ask the dealer about the spoiler and see if they will paint it under warranty also.

I'm kind of interested to see how it looks without the moldings and just the emblems. I can always do a complete debade of the sides if it looks off.

Yeah, but then what if you want the moldings back? Haha. In my opinion, demolded doors look too big and bland. It looked good on the 2nd generation but not this one!

You could always photoshop a picture to see what the truck would look like without having to do it. If you post a side picture for us, I could do one for you in about 5 minutes!
