It's time again to replace the brakes on my old reliable 2003 GMC Yukon. Truck is a 5.3L, 4WD, SLT for reference.

I've replaced them twice before with stock replacements from Napa. They seem to hold up OK, but I'm replacing them about every 30k miles or so. I was hoping for something a little more durable. It's still braking OK, but the rotors seem to "warp" pretty early and lead to a pulsating pedal, and lunging truck when stopping. I do a good deal of towing, mostly our boat to/from the lake. That's about a 4,200lb load, with a round trip of about 50mi. We do that 2-3 times a week in the summer. The winter sees us just daily driving it, and the occasional 4-5hr road trip.

I've been debating on some slotted rotors, and EBC GreenStuff pads. I don't have a good place to find reviews on any of those. I tried searching around here, but couldn't find any good reviews or information on how people like the slotted rotors or upgraded pads.

Shoot clkelley a PM, man. He's a vendor on here with Synthetic Motorsports and he's got a very nice line of nice, long last brakes pads and rotors at a very fair price!

Yes Sir, I am on the road today, but if you will send me a private message here I will show you some options that are very affordable and will last a good bit longer than stock replacements. I will be able to answer your message with a quote by this afternoon.

I installed the R1concepts drilled and slotted E-line series front and back about 2 weeks ago.. Outstanding brakes, good performance, no complaints. The price is good, not too bad.
also a big thanks to clkelley for being a member on here and selling R1concepts brakes..

Well looks like some good reviews from R1Concepts, as well as some good products. I'll be giving you a call in a few weeks to place the order for some slotted rotors and pads.

In other slightly related thoughts. I'm also considering stainless braided lines for the Yukon. Can you get ahold of those? I didn't see those on the site. Also, my wifes '06 Audi A4 (2.0T/Quattro) needsnew pads as well, I didn't see those on the site either. Can you provide those as well?

Thanks!!!!!

Yes Sir, I can get the stainless brake lines in "Stock" length from R1, however, for those with a lift I can get them from Skyjacker and others. As for the Audi, yes, I gotcha covered there as well, when you are ready, just shoot me a private message here on the forum with the vehicle details, up to and including the last eight digits in the VIN on the Audi and I can quote what you need that way. Although their catalog is good for a lot of things, they do not have even close to everything they offer listed in it.
