I've always thought it'd be fun to have a truck with Push to Start switches, similar to this.
What would the best way be to go about doing this in a new model Tahoe equipped with factory remote start? Seems like it should be easy to wire into whatever module is used to start the truck. Alternatively, could you just use a spare key fob and tap into its buttons? That'd give you the ability to do Start, Lock, Unlock, and Rear Glass Open switches on the console.
I had an aftermarket remote start system on a previous vehicle that would kill the engine if you pressed the brake without first putting the key in the ignition. Basically it was a theft prevention mechanism. Worked well. I'd want this setup to do something similar.
