Tbss swap help!!

I have a newly acquired 97 Yukon slt with 5.7 liter everything is stock. I want to swap out my spare tbss in take onto. I have never messed with older body style truck. What do I need / need to do to make the swap?

Also I’m going to swap the heads with the intake I have off the 5.3.

Pretty sure the 5.7 (LT1?) is a square port head. The LS 5.3’s are cathedral ports.

I have a newly acquired 97 Yukon slt with 5.7L (L31) everything is stock.
I want to swap out my spare tbss intake onto. I have never messed with older body style truck.
What do I need / need to do to make the swap?

1. Remove the Gen1 Chevy Small Block V8 from the truck in its entirety.
2. Replace it (yes, the whole freaking thing) with a Gen3 GM Small Block 5.3L or 6.0L V8 from a 2005 or younger.

The two engines have very little in common.
Either upgrade the L31 with Gen1 Chevy Small Block V8 stuff, or swap in a Gen 3.
