Should I have tcase fluid mixed in with my front diff gear oil? I drained f diff today to swap out a leaking axle seal. I did the same last year but I don't recall the blue tcase fluid in with the oil. It is there now. I also drained my tcase and filled late last year.

Maybe I over filled tcase? Or is there a bad seal b/w them?

Update...subject should say T-case, but I got auto-corrected.

I don't think it would be possible for fluid to get from the transfer case to either differential, as they are both connected via drive shafts which contain no fluid. The transmission and transfer case are bolted together and could potentially transfer fluid between them if a seal went bad. However, I am fairly sure the only way to get transfer case fluid into either differential would be to actually add it using the fill plugs. Is it possible a quick change oil place added the wrong fluid to the front differential after finding the level low?

Not possible for them to mix. theres NO fluid connection.

Agreed, stupid to even think it, when I was underneath the tahoe, but anyone know why the front diff oil turned blue? I replaced it late last year with standard 80w-90 (myself) as I did today. I don't remember what the old fluid looked like last year, but the fluid I got out today was blue. It wasn't blue when it went in last year.
