Tech 2 powers up and so far from what I gather everything is functioning properly until I try to run diagnostics on chassis.
I can diagnose the powertrain and body with no problems but when I try to access thr chassis diagnostics I get no communications with vehicle check diagnostic link connector check ignition on/off.

I have tried key on and key off with same results I have also tried with and without the candi module. Kind of stumped here as to why i can not access the chassis codes.

Yes, let us know what happened. Some of us are more inclined to stupidity and memory loss. Wait, what's this about? LOL

if you do not input the correct data into the tech2 it wont communicate with a vehicle it does not expect I had to play with mine a little to figure out which vehicle type and vin code number to use, for instance my 03 silverado is one number off from what it is expected to be, I found that out on some side notes online when I was researching how to use it

That's exactly what happened while running diagnostics to motor it has me select u for the engine type. So I assumed that trying to run other diagnostics I should be selecting u when I fact I needed to be selecting k as my chassis type. it took me a minute to figure out but after reading around a little bit I was able to determine which vehicle code I should be using based off of the vin tag.
