the molding is off!

finally demolded her yesterday, also clayed and waxed the whole truck,also painted the trim around my corner lights (was silver before):rocking:

looks nice! how did you do it? looks like it there is some marks there where it use to be, is there? i was thinking about doing the same to my hoe

yeah there is some bad oxidation where the moldings were, tried rubbing compound but it wont come off, any ideas? I used fishing line to get the moldings off then went at the tape with an eraser wheel and finally an hour using goof off for the remaining residue

i don't really know how you would get that off maybe one of them clay bar things? that's what i was afraid would happen. sounds like a whole lot of work too.

I had a touch of oxidation when I pulled the molding and it wouldnt come off with a clay bar for me :( Lots good man!!! I really like those rims a lot...

did you end up ever getting it off? i guess with the 2 tone like that if you really didnt like it you could always repaint the bottom couldnt you?

first of all thanks for the comments, I used a clay bar before I waxed but it didnt touch the oxidation:emotions122:I am gonna take it to a detailer and see if they can fix it

keep us updated when you take it in if they get it off or not. either way it looks good without the molding just looks smoother and clean, i like it!
