Hi guys, I'm back again with a suspension question. I've been doing the 5/5.5 drop for almost 2 years. I like the way it looks and the ride is good for now but I want to go lower so I'm considering upgrading to an air ride system. I've searched a bit and found Extensive sells a relatively straight forward front kit but I haven't found a good rear kit.

My goal is a ride height of 30"/31" f/r ground to fender and have a decent ride on a 275/45R20 tire. I'm not looking to lay frame when aired out and I'd prefer not having to cut the floor of my truck. Ideally I would like to stick with an underfloor notch and if necessary dimple the floor for pumpkin clearance.

Hopefully some of you guys can give me some recommendations or point me in the right direction.

TIA

Sounds like a fun project man! I have considered air ride as well but I drive mine to Montana a couple times a year. The thought of blowing out a bag during the trip has kept me away from that idea. I have also seriously considered doing a coilover conversion in the front and ditching the torsion bars though. Theres a guy on PT that is making bolton brackets for that conversion but I dont think it would allow you to go as low as what you're talking. If I were to go that route Id fab up my own upper mount to go lower.

I have looked at the axle location the the back and I dont know how low you will be able to go without floor/frame mods.

What is different about Montana that would blow an air bag?

Not really a kit for the rear. Originally my truck had bags over axle, no notch. Laid out on top of the tire.

how far are away from the bottom of the fender to the top of tire are you?

I'm about 2" from bottom fender to top of tire. Haven't measured but that would be my guess. I'm currently 32" ground to fender on a 29.8" tire in the rear. I'm 31.5" ground to fender in the front on the same tire. Any pics of your first setup Young? Thoughts Young or M Hankel? Yates any ideas?

I can sell you a fully bolt on kit but it will not lay frame.

if you have an adjustable panhard the the axle shift is a non issue and bags ride better than springs.

Yates, tell me more about this kit. Feel free to PM if you don't want to clutter up the thread. Young, I'd love to see more pics. I'm very curious to see the notch on your first setup.
