hello every one my name is luis im new to this forums and im in love with the tahoes.....here is the deal i wanna buy a 2000-2006 tahoe i found one for 19k with 47k miles the truck is very clean i would say in excelent conditions.Im trying to go to school in september and get my own place and i dont think i can do that if im making payments on a car since i have a 4 year old son.Yes im a single father.

i found a 2003 tahoe lt looks very nice as i can see on the pics im gonna take a look at it on friday after work since the truck is located it about a hour and a half away from where i live and they are asking 8,995 and it has 148k miles. My dad is mechanic so if there is anything wrong with the car he will notice right away he can even tell if the car has been in a accident idk how he is a little weird. My question is are this truck known for issues when it comes to high miles im afraid that if i get this truck 3 month later im gonna have to start dumping money into it and im really not trying to make payments on a a new car or close to knew this i why i would like to get this truck since my budget is about 12k max.

please let know what you guys think your help is very appreciated.

here is the link for the truck

I have an 03 with 118k miles and it still looks and rides like nearly new. But you need to be realistic about purchasing an 8 year old vehicle with 150k miles...stuff starts wearing out no matter how well maintained. Eventually, there will be issues with the A/C, electrical components, trans, power accessories, etc. You should include money in your budget to account for these occasional repairs...the more you can do yourself, the better! But keep in mind when one of the repairs pops up that you are not shelling out $800-900 bills every month to ride around in a new one... :waytogo:
