I'm thinking about plasti dipping the center of my chrome wheels, keeping the lip and the rivets chrome. I was wondering what everything thought of the quality of plasti dipping wheels. I have only seen it in pictures. Does is come out smooth? They also offer a gloss coating to put on over the plasti dip. Would this have too textured of a finish, or can you get it almost as smooth as paint?

Get plasti dip in gallons from dipyourcar.com and it will lay a lot better using a 35 dollar paint gun.
The spray can nozzle sucks.

Thanks guys. I worked at a body shop for years before getting into sales so I should be fine with the process, but I just havnt seen it in person. Wanted to make sure it didn't look like undercoating or bedliner or something. I will most likely buy it by the gallon, I already have a cheap paint gun to use.

If you're experienced in body work, I'd say you'll be fine. I can't paint an even coat to save my life and so far everything I've dipped has came out perfect, and that's just with the spray can stuff.
