Well, I went mudding and washed my engine bay and underside today. After I left the wash bay, I got the "Reduce Engine Power" message and a CEL. Pulled over, unplugged the battery, waited 10min, and restarted it. Ran fine with no CEL or message. As I began driving, it popped up again. I pulled over, turned it off, etc....It finally would start showing that message and wouldn't allow the car to rev or gas to be applied.

Did I #$%^ something up bad? Or maybe something got wet that shouldn't have. I was trying to be careful to not spray anything electrical in the engine bay...

Any thoughts or ideas?

Here's why I washed the engine bay:

Here's the truck being dropped off at the shop:

Was the truck running when you washed the engine bay and if so did you notice it running weird at all at any point of the washing? Could be a simple fix with all the electrical items in the engine bay, hopefully it's just water in a connection!

Yes, it was running while I was "carefully" washing the engine bay. I'm hoping whatever it is I got wet, will just dry out and I'll be up and running in no time :)

Turns out I had 3 codes: all having to do with the intake, throttle body, and throttle body sensor.

1k later, it's fixed!

I'm curious to know what got replaced too. I had a reduced engine code come up and it said app sensor. Hasn't come back yet so I haven't done anything

I had the throttle body, throttle body wiring harness, and intake filter replaced. Cleared up all 3 codes and it runs like a champ now.

I'm guess I sucked up a little water which got to the TB, and while inspecting that, the TB wiring harness was corroded and all kinda of hacked up (guess from a power commander type device by the previous owner).

None the less, truck runs great now!

No pics of the actual "mudding". Those were taking when I broke down while waiting for AAA.
