Time sensitive question about cv axles, any help appreciated

@Blackmar401 Post up some photos of the leak.

It looks like the very back u joint is bad, possibly 1 or 2 of the cups? Just from a quick visual. The front differential looks like it's just destroyed and probably leaking from a few places.

CV axles don't last very long without grease. Looks like you also have a bad seal on the front differential. Is there any fluid inside the diff?

Haven't checked yet but we never use 4wd.

That leak is from the differential output shaft seal and not a cv boot. Most of the time the out cv boot goes first and throws grease all around the wheel well and inside the wheel. Fortunately for you it’s on the easy side to replace. I would do that seal, the transfer case output seal and both U-joints.

Haven't checked yet but we never use 4wd.

Doesn't matter, the CV shafts and such are always spinning when the car is in motion. They're just not engaged. It's good practice to engage it and run it through the modes every month or so at least. Use it or lose it. Deferred maintenance can be costly and certainly understand the whys; been there myself.

Yep, that u-joint cup is cocked and should do both joints while apart. IMO, if you are keeping and doing one output shaft seal, you do both, but of course, is your call.

Im glad Im not seeing things. That needle bearing cup on that rear ujoint is definitely canted. OP you need to park that vehicle before you drop a driveshaft and rip the Tcase right off the tranny. This event will junk the tranny, Tcase, Driveshaft and whatever else they come in contact with as they exit our from underneath your vehicle.
Replace all the Ujoints.

Since the tires are the same diameter, all 4 wheels turn at the same speed whether in 4wd or 2wd when traveling in a straight line. Since CV halfshafts are splined to the front hubs, they both turn at the same speed as the rear axles while traveling in a straight line.

Just put a transmission in at last year and apparently there's already been one put in before that that 210000 I think
