Hey all,
Im replacing my Lexani LX9 rims with some Dub Shot Calla's tomorrow. Long story short, the Lexani wheels always leaked and two of them are bent so Im told by some tire balance shop. I never curbed or hit anything and the chrome is already peeling off too. Ugh.
Anyways, My Lexani's were 24x10 ET 35 and I had 305 Toyo proxies on them that actually look like new even with 15K on them.
My new rims are 24x10 30 offset and I wanted to go down a tire size too 295. The 305's looked to meaty and did rub until I cut some plastic in the rear. The front only rubbed on full lock up front. Not often enough to care really. I prefer a more square look myself anyhow.
However, its hard to find a 295/35-24 tire. Seems Nitto is the main contender in that size. But Ive heard mixed reviews on Nitto (which is a child company to Toyo). In fact, I think I had some Nitto's years ago that cupped and experienced sidewall separation now that I think about it.
My question....
Do you guys still think a NT420 is a great tire with no issues? I would be getting 295/35-24 in those. Or should I stick with 305 and just get Toyo proxie II's?
If I stick with 305/35/24 on a 24x40 30 offset, will I rub more or less than what I did with 305/35/24 on a 24x10 35 offset?
Thank you,
SMoke
