I have 07 Tahoe with 20' stock wheels that have tire pressure monitors in them. I got 24s for the Tahoe but dont have any tire pressure sensors in them and I dont really want to have the ones out of the stock wheels taken out. Does anybody have any suggestion where I can get some cheap ones that will work with 07 Tahor or how I can have it turned off. I dont want the light and message to be up at all time on the dashboard.
Please help.

Thank you guys,
Joe

I don't know if I could say cheap and good in the same sentence.

GM has a parts number for the modules - but the price is going to be around $300 unless you have a connection at a Chevrolet Garage.

Even then, they are probably going to have to run a program to relearn the new sensors. Call a parts department and give them the last 8 numbers of your VIN and they will be able to tell you with no problems.

You could try a aftermarket supplier, but then again, if they do not work, your chances of any type of warranty is going to be pretty slim.

You could try car-part.com and ask a junk yard if they would be willing to sell you a couple, but then again, you are going to have to buy a kit to put them on your new wheels and the kit might be $40 a wheel and again, you might have to pay the garage to reflash your computer and there would be no guarentee that they would work.

I am not aware of any power tuners that can shut off the BCM - Body Control Module , so no - there is no way to run it without the sensors. Thank the government for that one.

eBay. I pulled mine off the OEM wheels. I am pretty sure the shop swapped them for free.

i got a set of oem tpms for $90 shipped to me from ebay. upgrading to aftermarket wheels/tires is a big expense. not spending 100 bucks for sensors is crazy. small cost could save you big $ from wearing your tires out.
