1.)I have an 2004 Yukon SLT with AWD and my service tire monitor message
has been on since I bought it in 08. I went to the dealer and they said it was a tire monitor in the tire went bad since they told this to me I have gone though two sets of tires and obviously had new ones put on each time I replaced the sets of tires.... I don't know if it the tire system in the truck or maybe in the tires.
2.) while driving around normally(easy driving) I will come to a stop and start accelerating and the traction control will kick in and slip the tranny (some times a little and sometimes a lot) and sometime the traction active message will come up on the dash most of the time it won't, when the system is freaking out at this time I try to press the accelerator and nothing because the system took it out of the equation (so if I was in an actual slide it would be helping me) it does this year round, I just hate pulling up to an intersection and it's my turn to go and I press the throttle and it will accelerate 10 feet then quit for two seconds then accelerate hard then shift horribly because the system is partially engaged, any ideas on a quick fix, would changing the tranny fluid help? (I think it the tc system module)

Any advice would be awesome!
Thanks guys

My yukon doesn`t have AWD but i had a similar problem with the traction control coming on when starting off from a stop and it was the wheel speed sensor located in the front hub bearing.

It was faulty and it wasn`t reading the correct speed so the traction control thought that wheel was slipping and would activate.

You can change the sensor or the whole hub bearing. If you have a lot of miles on the hubs i`d just swap it out.

Hopefully that`s the issue and not a bigger problem with the AWD.

Bypass the TC system if possible. A good driver doesn't need it and it's also a hinderance because it's such a primitive control system.

IDK if they changed the AWD system in the 05's, but on my 01 it's all mechanical with no electronics involved.
