I seen those, not certain as I bad experiences years back with Bridgestone passenger car tires......

I was looking at those Conti DWS's which rate SUPER high but again there actual reviews on the tire rack have mixxed opinions.

The michellin sprt A/S's are up there too but im not spending 250 per tire!

Any other suggestions?

No, its a PITA!

Do me a favor, check out the Continental DWS's survey reults on the tire rack. They seem too good to be true!

Very interesting, I wish they would test the new Bridgestone against the DWS then it would make my decision alot easier! ;)

The car is all wheel drive so I maybe able to give up some winter traction while benefiting from more summer traction.....IDK which way I want to go. We have been getting blasted the last few years so the DWS maybe the way to go.

I was thinking of 2 differant sets of tires one for winter and one for summer but what I noticed years ago when I did this was the dedicated summer tires really sucked in the rain. And again over the last few years it rains all the time. So im really undecided as what to do.:emotions122:

The regular goodyear assurance triple get top ratings along with the goodyear assurance comforted touring rates high as well.

I havent bought goodyear in years as I never owned a good passenger tire by goodyear. I used to have what was it GT2's, GSD's, even the truck tires sucked RT's, At's.....I see these two are rated at the top so they have me thinking....

Im just a little lost with all these rating groups. Touring, all season touring, grand tourins, etc..Do they really mean anything?

I think they are supposed to be long term driving styles.

Tire rack says this:
Performance Category Filter
×
Quick Tip

Tire performance categories are separated into categories specifically for passenger vehicles or light trucks/SUVs as well as by seasonality or applicable use. Numbers in parentheses indicate quantity of tires available based on your filtering criteria.
With over 8,000 different types and sizes of tires to choose from, Tire Rack has developed smaller, more manageable groups of similar tires (performance categories) based on the various blends of comfort, handling, traction and wear they provide.

I personally don't look at tires that way. I look at what can fit and what can do the job best, has an AA rating and not worrying about tread wear. I have not done the separate tire seasons before but I am interested in starting to do that on the truck. Maybe more complicated I think thou but I will start looking out of interest.
