I'm just saying that with the 420's in all levels of snow I got around no problem. Never got stuck and rarely even had to put it in 4wd even in a foot of snow. IMO that's good performance and NEVER had an issue in rain. I wouldn't give them a good review if it wasn't for my personal experience.

Have you ever personally ran the 420 @Deephaven ?
To be fair I haven't...but no way I will either. I have ZERO traction in the rain and the ice will just be WAY worse. Of course I also live in MN where we have a nice coating of ice for much of the year and I firmly believe that snow tires are the best investment you can have in our weather.

I've also had very similar tread on plenty of other cars. If you saw my driveway I can guarantee you'd look at it and realize there is no way the 420's will make it up in the winter. Not even close.

Well, I guess my point is while the tread "looks" like it wouldn't handle weather very well at all, in real life use they actually handle it quite well. If I hadn't experienced it first hand I'd look at the tread pattern and have the same thoughts as you so the looks can be very deceiving in this instance.

Now, going up steep icy inclines? I do live in a pretty hilly area and they did fine there but my driveway is pretty flat so I've never had to go up a steep driveway that was ice covered. There's a reason why I don't by homes with steep driveways to them LOL

I love my terra grapplers for snow and ice. I drive on ice/snow roads for 8 months of the year and TGs are my favorite right now.
