Alright guys, I have just realized im over the stage of wanting the loudest exhaust in town. Infact it is really starting to annoy me considering how often I am in the truck everyday. I currently am running a magnaflow 14" with 3 inch tailpipe and no cats. I dont want it as quiet as stock, but want it much quieter than it is. I dont want to put cats back on. Too much money...Do you think the Magnaflow 22" would work well for me or possibly an even longer magnaflow XL? any advice appreciated.

I don't know much, but I do know that the bigger the muffler the quieter it is. I have the biggest Magnaflow I could get for my application and it's perfect. Not loud out all, but you can tell it's aftermarket.

Put a resonator on it. AKA a small bullet type. Or you could get one off an '07 up and have it welded on.

You would be better to add cats, if you have your rear O2's tuned out, turn them back on.

That alone should do it.

Did you feel any difference when you cut them off?
If so sure it wasn't your foot so you could hear the exhaust?
Cat's are nowhere near the restriction they used to be. Stock cats now are more of a high flow, even the one's you cut off.
