So once I get my tax return I'm going to pull the trigger on some machined faced rockstars 18in. and some 31in bfg a/t ko's. Or so I thought. Now I'm thinking about 2 other tire choices. Nitto terra grappler 305/60/R18 (32in) or Pro Comp 305/60R18 (32in). My first question is will these 32's fit on a stock height Denali? The guy at discount tire was pretty sure 33's wouldn't fit at all. Do the nitto's come in a wider size than the bfg's? Which ones will most likely be the cheapest? and which ones will be the best overall? The majority of my driving will be on the street but anything other than pavement will be mud (nothing extreme).

my hoe had a 32" tire on it when i picked it up. normal stockish width and they didn't rub at all. i have to vote procomp, i have the Xtreme M/t's and they just won't die. no complaints.

The widest tire you can fit stock is a 285 tire, but if taller is what you're looking for try and find a set of 265-85-16 or 265/80-17. My 265/70-17 is the larger stock tire size if these years, and even then they fit with little room to spare, and I have a "lift" of sorts at the moment.

Any one know where I could find the most tire sizes available for what I listed above? bc the pro comp I listed was the only r18 tire I found that was under 33in.

Just to throw my two cents in....
  • I know a guy that ran 305/70/16s with no lift (other than a t-bar crank) and just minor trimming.
  • I've personally run 32x11.50x15s on my 2wd when it was stock height.... just a little frame rub at full lock. If I had rolled the fenders, I would have been golden on major bumps as well.

So mr wheel deal quoted me around $1400 for 18s w/ 285/60/r18 Nitto terra grapplers. Damn!! Thats almost a grand less than discount tire quoted me.

Rockstars are coming in next week.. You guys think I should hold on to the stock wheels and tires or sell them? Anyone know how much obs denali wheels and tires are going for? Tires are 06 Michelin's with ~4k left on them. I probably won't get rid of them right away but if money becomes and issue thats one of the first things I'm going to sell.
