Just got my rear level lowering kit installed that I purchased through Tony @NORCAL SS installed. I am very very happy and appreciative all of Tony's help. It leveled out the truck PERFECTLY! I measure right around 36" front and back now. Tony definitely knows his stuff and the shipping was crazy fast!

I had my truck at the shop getting some other work done when it struck me that I wish I had the lowering springs for the rear. I texted Tony just as a shot in the dark to see if I might be able to get the kit in a couple days. Tony was on it and got the kit to me the very next day!!! I am in Southern California and he is in Northern California, but still to get the kit by the next day shows that Tony is on top of his shit! Also, nailed the height, it's dead ass level and rides great.

Tony held my hand and walked me through every question I had...and I had many. Once I recieved the springs I asked Tony if I was supposed to mount the progressive coil springs with the tighter coils up or down. Tony responded very quickly and said up. I told the guys installing it to install the coils tight side up. After I got it home Friday, I looked under the truck and saw that they had put the coils tighter coils on the bottom.

A question for all you guys that have put on progressive lowering springs in the rear, did you install them tighter coils up or down? I think the truck is riding very nicely now. Do you think it is necessary to switch the coils around? Will it improve the ride even more? Could any damage be done by running the coils upside down?

you will be fine. I do it like that because that way helper bags if installed work out better since they will be on bottom and you want them on the active coils.

Thanks Tony, will it ride any better if I had the shop flip the coils around?

I'm thinking of going back just out of principal to the shop and having them reinstall the coils the way I asked. Will it make any difference in comfort?

Hey Tony, so I'm noticing the past few days that the truck rides a little soft for my taste. I researched a little and saw that the tighter wound coils (which are on the bottom for me) are softer.

I was wondering if you thought flipping the coils around would firm up the ride at all? Or as you said before, will the ride remain about the same whether I have the tighter coils oriented on top or bottom?

Yiu can always adjust the rear autoride link linger. I usually keep rear 1/2 inch higher than front because when it's dead even it looks like rear I lower. If bumpstops are cut you can make the 10x 24 thread rod longer thrn try to ride out. Also if you want you can flip the springs the other way

Just a little update in case anyone cares...so after talking with Tony, I lengthened the autoride rods on the truck. I was amazed how the smallest differences in length of the rod made big differences on the ride hieght...and quality of the ride. At first, I lengthened the rod by 1/2" and it ended up raising the ride height (after the air compressor kicked in an lifted the ride to like 37 1/2-38" high! Almost back to stock hieght! So I shortened it 1/4" back down and gave it the day to settle and adjust. It was still at 37" and the ride was really nice. I still wanted it slightly lower, so I shortened the rod literally just 1/8" and after the day, now it sits at 36 3/4-36 1/2" and is riding very nicely still.

So all in all I ended up lengthening my autoride rod by only 1/8" and got the ride hight up around 1/4-1/2" and most importantly, the ride seems to be much improved to me. It is really amazing how the smallest of adjustments to the autoride rod can change both the ride height and ride quality. I'm really digging how much flexibility the autoride gives. It was super easy to adjust the rods. Literally took me 5 minutes to do it the last time I did it. I didn't even jack the truck up.

Thanks again Tony for the help and guidance!
