My box just takes up alot of room in the rear. Anyone know if I need to cut that rear fake grill out? Or will it sound ok behind the plastic?

Did they make one for the lwb such as the Suburbans and Yukon xl's?

I'm sure they did. I know they have a stock sub box for the lwb.

I think all 00-02's had the sub in the rear regardless of wheelbase

If they did I don't think they'd interchange. Can't use a box that came from a lwb into a swb.

Yup. You probably could modify one from a lwb to fit a swb if you had to.
