Tony's 2-3/4 Installed 06 Denali (Pics inside)

Whats up guys, over the weekend I installed tony 2-3/4 belltech kit in my 06 Denali. I started the install saturday night and would have finished saturday night if i didnt cut too much of the balljoint off the first side i started. Stupid me cut the balljoint before the nut was on and balljoint through the knuckle. So I needed to wait until sunday to finish and go borrow a ball joint removal kit and new balljoint.

Other then that it came out pretty good. I didnt install the spacer in the rear so will need to cut the bumpstop and do the free travel mod. Its got about a 1/4 inch of travel in the rear. Its going to be aligned today at work and the tires and wheels will be going on later this week. I might go lower next spring. I wanna see how the truck gets through the north east winter this year and if it goes pretty good I will do torsion keys in the front and smaller springs in the rear to get about an extra inch lower all the way around. Next up is an exhaust of some sort.

Measurements before After
RF 35 1/2 RF 34
LF 35 1/2 LF 33 3/4
RR 37 3/8 RR 34 1/2
LR 37 LR 34

The picture on the stock wheels is after the drop.

well the wheels are back on, i checked all the bolts again and had to tighten the 2 bottom ball joints a little more. I also cut my bumpstops in half and adjusted the autoride links (3.5inches) to get rid of the little bit of sag in the rear. I didnt start the truck before the picture so the sag is still there. Also for the first time in 3 years i programed the tpms sensors in the 24's! All i needed was a magnet haha.

in front you can back out stock keys a little if needed. with no spacer in the rear the rear will sit lower than front on those trucks

just by loosening the keys i can lower the front a little more? I feel that adjusting the air ride a little bit made a difference when the truck is on and compressor kicks on. Will that screw up the alignment i just got on monday?

Nice. do how did u program the tpms using just a magnet?

And yea guys, i put the truck in program mode. walked around with a magnet to each tpms sensor and got it done. it only works with trucks up to 06. I think you can also deflate and inflate the tires and the sensors will pick up the change.

great thread, this is exactly the truck i have and the same lowering kit, so i have a couple questions. one, you mentioned that you had to cut your balljoints, why, and how much did you have to cut off? two, what is the "free travel mod" you mentioned? I have the autoride with the airbag shocks in the rear (bags are hosed but shocks are fine), how do you guys suggest i handle the rear? will i be okay with the autoride shocks with the busted bags, do i ditch them for something else, or do i replace them with same thing?
