I've got a 94 Yukon with a mildly built 468. I just picked up a 4l60e stage 3 performance transmission. Just want to get your opinions on which torque converter I should use. It's mostly going to be used as a daily driver.

The first thing I would do is contact the cam mfg to see what they recommend for your Yukon based on weight and other factors. I would also talk to the person who built your trans.

It's important to know that the off the shelf TC's almost never run at the advertised stall speed. The reason is simple. A TC must be matched to the power curve of the engine and gear reduction of the driveline.

Midwest Converter can build a converter for your exact application. Use this form to get a quote for the real deal. I would think you would need at least a 3500 rpm stall to get the truck moving when you are in a hurry. It would still drive like a stock TC for normal driving. Good luck.....

I can not help you with your TC question but I highly recommend you return that built 60e and swap in a 80e.
