If I read it right, All I have to do is disconnect the battery and pull the RTD fuse. after I replace the shocks I shouldn't get the service light.... right?

Now, will my auto level system still work independently of the shocks?

correct. don't put the battery cable back on till all 4 shocks are disconnected

you will no longer have auto level (auto ride). You'll need to buy normal shocks for all 4 corners.

The service right control message will still come back I'm pretty sure. You will also have to buy new rear springs if you get you rid of the air ride shocks.

no, and no. I did this to my 04 Escalade. As long as you disconnect the battery, pull the RTD fuse, swap out all the shocks for standard shocks, and the reconnect the battery, you won't ever get the message again.

As far as springs, the OEM springs will be ok, the will be taking more of a load than they were before, but they are still usable.
