I'd shop around for one that folds down or swings to the side so you can open the door.

I made one back in high school as part of my senior project that swung down. Well I modified it that way after I wanted to use the tailgate on my old Jimmy that it was on. So yeah, shop around for a better one.

unknown at this time.
it is a spare. it can handle having a smaller size for a while if you need to use a spare.

then you don't have it exposed or need to spend money.

So you're swapping your spare on and off quite a bit?

I'm running 285's and have a 245 in the spare position, but I second SunlitComet's suggestion that a 265 should fit. Of course, a hitch assembly could effect that, but it looks like it would fit on my truck.
