2003 Tahoe Z 5.3 Flex Fuel

So my 7 pin hitch connector has some pins broken or damage but I don't plan on using any 7 pin trailer. I do have a pop up camper that uses the 4 pin connector but can't use an adapter and I already have the 4 pin connector with the wires. I want to connect directly the wires to wires from the 7 pin to the 4 pin but not sure what each wire is for. I have search online but they not the same they are all different and was hoping if some one could shine some light. I do have a light tester but I am not sure if I am doing any thing wrong

As of right now I have LEDs strips connected to some wire to test it as if it was the trailer lights and I have them working as fallows:
Night driving lights
Turn signals
When I press the brake they turn off
With brake and turn signal they would act as turn signal either left or right

They only wok with the truck lights on. I want them to work with the truck lights off and on and have night driving lights but I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

This is what I think I know. not sure if I am correct. Wound some one explain the other pins (D, E, F, G) Thanks.

Looking into the plug, your list is as follows:
A- tail/running lights
B- L turn
C- R turn
D- 12 volt charging circuit
E- Ground
F- Trailer brakes
G- back up/ reverse lights

You should be able to cut and splice from there, although, I picked up a universal 7 round plug at Walmart for pretty cheap, around 8-10 bucks last year, and use a 7 round to 4 flat adaptor. The replacement plug I bought fits into the stock location, I just had to drill a couple holes into the bracket to mount it.
