I have a Cadillac XTS and a GMC Yukon that we used for towing a bumper horse trailer in California. We just moved to South Dakota and in the winter, I'm thinking this car will be very bad as it was in the past in the snow.

I know this is probably a really dumb questions, but does anyone have experience with a "kit" to actually convert it to a 4WD somehow?

I'd hate to lose so much on this car and have to buy a new one when we don't even drive this car much (weekends).

Thanks!

Be WAY WAY cheaper to sell it and buy the exact same thing in 4wd than to try to convert it.

Yeah...The problem is I still owe a lot on the car and it has over 100K miles, and most of all - dealers here in South Dakota don't want to buy a 2WD Yukon from 2008.

Doesn't matter, would still be cheaper to take a loss on yours and get a 4wd one...

:(

That's the kind of money you're talking about. So if that kinda money isn't an option, then the 2wd to 4wd isn't an option.

and dealers will buy a 2WD in south dakota they probably a couple grand soft
so theyll only pay probably a couple grand back from book and they dont like flooring vehicles that are hard to sell

for those of you that dont know flooring is how dealerships finance there inventory
