Towing w/ Yukon Denali w/ air ride pump - how to not have the pump going on and off all the time

Hi there.
2011 yukon denali.
Want to tow my 5500 lb camper.
When I hook to it, the air ride pump turns on (of course) and then runs for a bit then shuts off. Then under a minute it starts up again. I am thinking it just keeps running on and off.
Since I've already had to replace the pump twice (along with the other expensive circuit board I think it was) I don't want to have the pump running all the time while I go on this trip.
I do use the torsion bars on the camper and truck, but still wants to pump up.....
Any help would be great. Thank you !!!

Get out a sprayer of soapy water and hit all the air lines, connection points, and the air bags on the shocks. You most likely have dry rotted bags by where they fold under.

if your air ride compressor is always running there is a leak in the system. As he said above^ it’s likely the air bladder around one or both is probably blown shocks blown. As he stated above also there could be leaking air lines going from the compressor to shock as well. Use the search feature up above and type in something to the effect of Z55 problems. There are tons of threads here detailing all the issues that occur with the Z55 setup and how to handle fixing them.

Yep, am piling on, but sounds like a leak to me. A sensor checks ride height and shuts off compressor. If comes back on that height has changed.

If you've replaced the compressor twice you have a leak in the airbags on the shocks. If the shocks have no air in the bags after sitting a few hours or overnight, that will also confirm a leak. The compressor on my 08 used to run every few minutes even without a load when I had a leak.

OK thanks. I will check to see where it's leaking. If/when I find the leaks, where is the easiest place to get parts? rockauto? stealership?
So if it is the bags on the shocks, I need whole new shocks? or can you get the bag part? Sorry, just not familiar. Thanks for help or links of where to go to purchase.

Rock auto has the best price. You’ll need the whole air shock assembly - one for each side. Runs about $250 each. Get the part number from the label on your existing shocks - should still be legible.
