I've been having reoccurring issues with my TPMS system. I no longer believe that they are due to TPMS failures. Read my saga below, and weigh in please.

I had a TPMS failure earlier this year and I had the sensor replaced at Discount Tire. I do not recall which sensor was out, only replaced one. No big deal, truck was approaching 100k miles.

Last month I had another sensor start to go bad (rear left). I was going to put stock wheels on for snow tires, so I put it off. No big deal, the truck is now over 100k miles.

Saturday, I have 4 new tires and 4 NEW tire pressure sensors installed by Discount Tire. Everything is A-OK as I drive away. <50 miles later, my TPMS light comes on and says my LEFT REAR sensor is out again.

New sensor.
Programmed at Discount Tire.
Old sensors are still on the old wheels.
What is wrong with my system?

ps. I'm a member for over a year and can't post a "for sale" ad. Sad.

First, The TPMS sensors in my Yukon have started to go bad. 1 went bad about 6 months ago, another about 2 weeks ago. They do have batteries in them so they won't last forever.

Where these NEW OEM sensors? Or are they an aftermarket sensor? Either way, some could come defective, so you can't count that out.

You will need at least 85 posts on the forums before you can post a classified listing. Doesn't matter if you've been here for a year or 5 years. We also look for people spamming the forum just to hit 85 post to be able to sell. We make these rules so people aren't scammed, but more importantly we want everyone to be part of this community.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me

This I know. Which is why I said "No big deal, the truck was approaching 100k miles."

New Schrader sensors in ACDelco packaging, so yes, OEM. Statistically speaking, it's more likely that there is something wrong with the truck and not the sensor.

I'd feel a lot more like part of the community if I could sell my 22s. ;)

Read through this thread, I have an '07 Yukon XL Denali, just went over 100k miles and right front TPMS is flaky, good one day, next day out.....

Have another 30k miles left on tires, but starting the planning to get a new set of 4 TPMS sensors so when I do new tires, will have them....

I checked eBay for pricing, found a set of 4 GM OEM for ~$65 shipped....

From what I read here, seems like I want to know if the packages of TPMS sensors have date(s) on them? I don't want to buy a set that has been sitting on a shelf for 5 years! Batteries will be shot in no time!

Anyone know how to check the production date on the GM or aftermarket TPMS sensors so you know what you are getting?
