TPMS Sensor Problem

I have a 2017 Tahoe, which was just lifted 6" and had Fuel 20x10 wheels installed. This was last week, and since then I've had problems with the TPMS sensors in the rear. All four sensors were working (showing a tire pressure on the instrument panel) then the next time I drove it the left rear wasn't reading (two lines showing on the display). I had the shop re-map it, then the right rear did the same thing. I figured it may be a bad sensor and they had just mapped the rear wheels backwards the first time, so I had them re-map the right rear to be doubly sure it was the sensor. It went out again the next time I drove it, so I had them replace the sensor today. All was fine when I picked it up. Drove it again this evening and now the left rear isn't mapped. Seems like too big of a coincidence to have both rear sensors go bad, but I haven't been able to find any similar situations online any where.

Any ideas?

The shop put in new aftermarket ones. My plan is to go back and have them install OEM sensors to see if that fixes the problem, unless there's any other suggestions.

you want YOUR old sensors, my guess is that they sold your old wheels already. Hope you aren't shit out of luck.

They said they still had my original ones and are going to put them back in.

Any luck with the oem tpms? I was thinking about getting some fuel's but I have herd that is a problem with some of the thicker aftermarket wheels.

No, I haven't had them switched out yet. I'm waiting on a couple other parts to come in that I'm going to have the shop install and am saving it all so I just have to leave it once. It should all be ready by the end of the week and I'll let you know if it works.

Strangely, over the past week, I'll notice it will connect and then disconnect throughout the drive. Hoping the OEM replacement fixes it.

I had bought the Factory GM ones a few months back and put them in my old Antera wheels, they had to be strapped to the rim as the wheels have the internal valve system...I finally threw on my wheels and tires the other day and after about 20 min of driving everything went blank and had a tpm warning, I called a buddy at a wheel shop to see if they have the scan tool to program the tpms, because trying to get it to program without a scan tool was impossible. At first my buddy said there are so many aftermarket TPMS options in the market he wasn't sure they could do it and almost didn't want to deal with me on it, but as soon as I said they were the Factory OEM ones, he said okay, no problem...bring it by. Had to put it on the rack to free spin the wheels to locate exactly where the sensor was inside the tire, but within 30 min they had it programmed and done. The OEM stems are expensive...was about $300 for the set, but being OE takes away any hassles or issues.

Those K2s need to have the TPMS tool to program, they are not expensive.
