TPMS working occasionally

Not sure is this is the correct section or not, but here is my issue:

My issue is the darn things work sometimes, but not all the time. When I first start up the Yukon, all 4 read correctly on the dash, then most of the time after 20 minutes or so of driving, the warning light comes on and sometimes all of them do not have a reading and sometimes 1 or 2 have a reading.

Does anyone know what is going on?

I really wish I could disable them, but for now, I just want the light to stay off.

Help or advise please.

I've read the batteries in them are good for about 5 years ??

IDK. I would think that if it was the batteries, they would just stop working. This has been going on for about a year.
