I also posted this in Engine & Drivetrain

I'm new, and I can't find this issue in a search.

2007 Tahoe. While driving, the truck shuddered a little and then the traction control/stability control light came on, the check engine light came on, the tach quit reading (stayed on 0), the alt quit charging (volts dropped to about 12 V on gauge), and A/C comp clutch cut out. All at the same time. When I got to a light I cut it off and waited about 15 sec and turned the truck back on. It had a long cranking period and then started. Same issue. Took off, and 1st to 2nd was harsh shift.

It only left a P0335 Crank Sensor code. No others. It sat for 20 min and then started fine. No check lights, alt charging to 14 V, A/C working fine.

Anyone seen this before?

John

John I know this is an older post but had similar issues. intermittent dash flashes as mentioned, even door locks cycled while driving down the road.
new batt ? replaced that then it returned.
Issue: that Neg. battery cable has a T-bolt holding it tight to the neg battery post. that t-bolt had stretched over time and finally broke. it was not holding a firm connection to the Batt. found the bolt at O'Riellys' Auto (ordered from warehouse not in stock) It solved the whole issue ! no need to replace whole cable. that bolt fits VW & Subaru I think. It's not a common part that I have found related to GM discussions on this issue . bottom line it solved my demons of electrical chaos in my 09' Tahoe
