Hey everyone, I have a strange one here. Whenever it rains, my traction control turns off (Traction Off light comes on). It never bothered me until this week.

We had some heavy fog and rain on Monday. When I got in my truck, all was good until I got out of my neighborhood. Coming to the first stop sign, brakes worked fine at first. Then, as I was almost stopped, they started disengaging and making a weird sound. Happened twice, with a clicking in the front left wheel, then it stopped. Now, my ABS light is on, and as soon as I start driving, my 'Low Traction' light comes on, and all power cuts out. If I turn off the traction control, all is good, but the ABS light is still on.

Could I just have moisture somewhere, or does it sound like a bigger problem?

BTW, this is on an '02 Yukon 4.8.

So it looks like it was moisture. The sun came out today, and now, everything is working perfectly. Next step is to find out where the moisture is sneaking in. :(

I would check the connectors for the front wheel speed sensors. I have heard of these having issues, they are in the wheel well(they are going to get everything off the road thrown at them), and are the easiest to get to. I think there is a connector where the wheel well meets the frame, there is a pass through. Just going off of memory, sorry.

Also could be the usual issues where the wheel speed sensors mount to the hub.

Thanks, I'll check those out. I had the hub assemblies replaced about 6 months ago, so those have been 'touched' recently. And as we all know, that's not always a good thing. :)
