Trailer brake not engaging

08 Tahoe LTZ. have the 5 flat pin connector on the trailer to the round connector into stock trailer plug.

Trailer brakes wont disengage when in reverse. Tested the lead and no signal in the plug when in reverse. Brakes, turn signals and lights all work fine. Am I missing something obvious?

Might have fryed reverse wire. Id tap the tail liht wire and just run it and repin the trailer port

Yea just find the reverse wire from the tail lights and run it in. On obs tahoes the wire is green but dont know about the 07+
