i had a 4,000 lb boat, tandem axles brakes on both, had no idea the boat was back there stopping. came with drums, i swapped em to disk, had a hydro brake set up.

i tow a 4000 lb landscape trailer daily the brakes burnt out, i miss them so bad, early spring time repairs to come on that thing.

Seems to me a salvage yard would be more practical for the hitch, that way you will access to any bolts/wiring you may need @ far less $$. I hope I understood your post. JMHO

Since you guys are talking hitches what did you guys do for roll pans?looks like hidden hitch is outta business is there anything else available that anyone knows of?

I've shopped Tahoes and Yukons a good bit from time to time and have never seen one w/o the receiver, plug, tow/haul mode. I thought that was standard. (as opposed to the HD Trailering Package)
