Wassup guys I was just wondering if anyone has a train horn in their truck. Looks like fun, esp after watching people gettin scared shitless on youtube videos. How much do they go for, and how hards the installation?

Theyre up around $500 if your looking to get a kit like people have on youtube. Install shouldnt be too hard. You just need to run a switch into the cab and find a spot for and wire up the compressor & tank. You can find the expensive kits at hornblasters.com but I think stylin trucks carries kits for around $250
and just fyi train horns are illegal

damm i didnt kno they cud cost so much. that wud prob be at the end of the mod list because 500 could go a long way in other mods that id like to do. and about the illegal part, doesnt rele matter alotta stuff are illegal but we still do em anyway lol

Not really illegal, bu certain jurasdictions/places around the US may have laws against sounds on the road over a certain sound (db) level.
Some xhaust, horsn and/or music can easily fall under this, which can get you a pretty expensive ticket.
I have Wolo Airhorns on my truck and its loud enough that people know its not regular, but by no means un-useable and illegal loud.

man i hate train horns with a passion. my buddy has one on his blazer its embarrasing to be next to this guy when hes using it at a show but its cool in moderation for the occasional ******* that deserves it

they are for 17 year old kids, kids at my high school used to have them. they have point whatsoever.
