Trams fluid leaking from ujoints?

hello,

I haven't driven the truck in about two months but I came outside today and noticed a pretty nasty fresh puddle of trans fluid on the ground. It seems to be coming from the front u joint. I don't see the seal leaking at all. I didn't know u joints could leak. I have a 96 Tahoe 2wd

U joints dont leak they have grease in them not oil. Unless its starting to bind up and cook the grease. Its most likely the seal but only on occasion.

thats the crazy part...the seal looks old but it is dry...i havent driven the truck and this leak wasnt there two days ago. this is a weird scenario. I know i did attempt to remove the k member about a week back to change the trans mount but i couldnt get the kmember bolts off so i didnt bother. Ill try to post a pic up of it, its still leaking like there is a weephold on there somewhere
